The album ‘Lucid Dream Rocks Again’ by Norwegian PowerDuo Lucid Dream is an album that will take you on a journey, and each of the songs is completely unique and has it’s own sound. The album starts with the song ‘Unfinished Business’, and you can hear that this duo means business straight away. The guitar solo that opens the song will blow any blues fan away, and in fact the rhythm guitar and bass are just as good! What is also amazing is that all of these instruments are played by Harald Nilsen “Thunderhand” himself! The voice of Gro Nesse Bremeris also very professional sounding; she manages to hit the higher notes as well as the lower ones each and every single time! The next song is called ‘Summer Feeling Blues’, and this song is kept very simple by just using drums, bass and vocals. However, the bass-work in this song is incredible! 'A Bit On The Blueside' is again a bittersweet blues-song with a hint of Jazz in it. 'The Scream Within' is a very deep song that has got blues elements, yet it really rocks as well and I love the effects used in this song. 'Down' is almost a pop song with extremely catchy melodies and lyrics. The songwriting of this Duo is top notch and it is amazing listening to this! 'Inventory Duty' has a slight hint of country sounds in it, and it shows just how versatile this Duo really is! The last track is called ‘If You Could’, and it is my personal favourite! I love it when bands save the best for last. The guitar solo at the beginning of the song reminds me of one of my personal heroes Gary Moore! The song is a pleasure to listen to and in fact this whole album is really good! I can only recommend it to anyone who is into blues!
